Humidifier FAQ

Safety answers name their sources: ASPCA Animal Poison Control, Pet Poison Helpline, Johns Hopkins Medicine.

GuideDiffuser or humidifier: which one do you actually need?Read it →
Is there a real flame in it?

No. The flame is a light shining through the mist. Nothing burns.

Is it a humidifier or a diffuser?

Both. Plain water softens dry air in a small room; add a few drops of oil and the same mist carries scent.

Does the oil come with it?

No. The price is for the humidifier. Any water-soluble essential oil you already own works in it.

Is a wall plug included?

No. It ships with a USB Type-C cord; plug it into a USB wall charger you already have.

Is it safe around cats and dogs?

Dogs, usually. Cats need more care: they cannot break down many oils, lavender, tea tree and citrus included. Keep it where an animal cannot reach it and use it in a room the cat can leave. Sources: ASPCA Animal Poison Control, Pet Poison Helpline.

Around babies or during pregnancy?

Not around infants under six months. During pregnancy, ask your doctor. Source: Johns Hopkins Medicine.

Will it grow mold?

Only if water sits in it. Empty the tank after each use and wipe it dry.
